WILKE INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME

Has served as SLABA President since 2011

SLABA president Fred Wilke was inducted into the 45th class of the Greater St. Louis Amateur Baseball  Hall of Fame on April 12, 2018.   Wilke was honored for his service on the SLABA Board since 1992 and his early statistical service that his company provided to local high school and summer teams through the SportsStats. 

Wilke started the American National West program in St. Charles County in 2007, which grew to 17 teams before splitting into the current St. Charles Capitals and Stallions.

Wilke continues to give back to SLABA and has served as the president since 2011.

From 1979 to 1986 he was the Baseball Commissioner at the Bridgeton Athletic Association.

Wilke played baseball at Duchesne High School from 1963 to 1966.  He played baseball and basketball at SIU-Edwardsville from 1968 to 1970 and served in the Army before becoming a teacher.  He began his 30 teaching career in 1977.
