St. Louis Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame honors SLABA with award

The St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association (SLABA) received the J. Kim Tucci Legacy Award on April 18, 2024 in recognition of their outstanding contribution to St. Louis area baseball.  The award was presented by the Greater St. Louis Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame.

SLABA president Chad Fix accepted the award on behalf of the organization.  SLABA was established in 1987 and began play in 1988.  SLABA continues to provide high school players and youth in the St. Louis metro area with an affordable, high-level summer baseball experience.  Chad Fix, Mike Buda, Mike Sears (holding the award), Fred Wilke and Kirk Hawkins represented SLABA at the ceremony.  Sears is a founding member of SLABA.
