THE ST. LOUIS REDBIRDS
The St. Louis Redbirds are composed of players from the base schools of Marquette and Lafayette High Schools. The club was formerly called the Ellisville Redbirds. The Redbirds team colors are red, white and blue. Home games are played at Lafayette High School. Their most famous alumnus is 2005 National League Rookie of the Year, 2006 All-Star Game Home Run Derby champion, National League MVP and 2008 World Series Champion Ryan Howard. Ryan played with the Redbirds from 1996 through 1998 before attending Southwest Missouri State University.
