SEARS INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME

Founding member of SLABA, JC Blazers Coach and Director since 1987

SLABA treasurer Mike Sears was inducted into the 43rd class of the Greater St. Louis Amateur Baseball  Hall of Fame on April 14, 2016.   Sears was honored for being one of the founding members of SLABA in 1987.  He has served as the treasurer since 1991.   Sears has also been the Program Director for the Jefferson County Blazers organization since 1992.  At Fox High School, he  was a coach from 1992-2001 and Athletic Director from 2001 until his retirement in 2007. 

A left-handed first baseman, Sears played for Jennings High School from 1970-1974 and at Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) from 1974-1978.
