THE JEFFERSON COUNTY BLAZERS
The Jefferson County Blazers baseball program (formerly Arnold American Legion) was founded in 1972 by Ray Hodge. The Blazers were one of the founding members of SLABA when it was organized in 1987. The program has been one of the most successful in summer baseball in the Saint Louis area since 1980.
The Blazers have attained much postseason success through the years, including trips to the 18U PONY and NABF World Series, 16U NABF World Series, 15U NABF World Series Classic. All Blazers teams travel to the most competitive summer tournaments, which include St. Petersburg, FL; Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; Memphis, TN; Cincinnati, OH; Troy, OH; Hilliard, OH; Fort Wayne, IN; Terre Haute, IN; Indianapolis, IN; Jackson, MS; Decatour, AL; Kenosha, WI; Omaha, NE; Greensboro, NC; San Jose, CA; and many more locations.
Team colors are navy blue and teal. Home games are played at Fox and Seckman High Schools. The players are from the base schools of Fox and Seckman. Players that attend private schools and those in open school districts of Northwest and Windsor are also eligible.
